Calcium phosphate dibasic CAS:7757-93-9

Dibasic calcium phosphate boasts excellent storage stability under conventional ambient conditions, with its chemical structure remaining intact for an extended period.

The compound features extremely low water solubility, with a solubility level below 0.02 g per 100 mL of water. This property makes it highly suitable for scenarios that require weak interaction with aqueous solutions.

It can dissolve easily in dilute hydrochloric acid and dilute nitric acid, which allows it to be widely applied in pharmaceutical production and various industrial processes.

When prepared as an aqueous suspension, dibasic calcium phosphate stays nearly neutral at around pH 7.0, making it an ideal ingredient for formulations that demand strict pH balance control.

Product Details

Dibasic calcium phosphate exists in two crystal forms: anhydrous and dihydrate. It appears as a fine white powder with no odor or taste, and keeps stable under normal room environment conditions.

It is barely soluble in water, yet can dissolve rapidly in dilute hydrochloric acid and nitric acid. In addition, this chemical compound cannot be dissolved in alcohol solvents.
