Foton Auman AMT models are among the most popular and successful trucks in the Chinese market, and their official launch marks a historic milestone in the Ghanaian automobile industry by Japan Motors.

The GTL truck represents the result of a strong strategic alliance between Foton Motor Group, Cummins (USA), and ZF Group (Germany), offering a comprehensive transport solution for professionals in logistics and haulage. With an average maintenance interval of 15,000 km, the GTL minimizes downtime and significantly reduces total ownership costs, giving users a distinct operational advantage.

Powered by the Cummins ISGe3-430 11.8L Turbocharged Diesel Engine, the Foton Auman GTL AMT delivers 430 horsepower and 2000 Nm of peak torque. The engine, featuring a 132 mm cylinder bore and compliant with Euro III emission standards, is paired with a 6×4 drivetrain and the latest-generation ZF AMT transmission. Designed for a Gross Combination Weight (GCW) of 90,000 kg, the GTL AMT is built around five key strengths: Superior Power, Superior Safety, Exceptional Reliability, Easy Maintenance, and High Cost Efficiency — also known as “The Money Master.”

In high-demand express and e-commerce applications — where trucks operate under intense, long-duration conditions — engine dependability is vital. The Auman GTL addresses this with the Fukang A12 engine, which produces 470 horsepower and 2300 Nm of torque within 1000–1400 rpm. This setup ensures strong power delivery, endurance, and efficiency for long-haul operations.

From a performance standpoint, 470 horsepower is well-suited to 4×2 tractors, balancing power with fuel efficiency. Fukang engines are highly regarded for their stability, longevity, and adaptability across various transport environments.

The powertrain integrates the ZF Chuansheng 12-speed AMT gearbox, featuring a built-in shifting system that enhances integration and reduces failure rates. The proven Fukang + ZF AMT combination has already demonstrated excellent market reliability, providing smooth power delivery, improved fuel economy, and comfortable driving performance — making it ideal for the high-efficiency, high-frequency demands of express logistics.

The chassis emphasizes practicality with 295/60R22.5 tires, giving the truck a lower stance compared to other Auman GTL variants equipped with 12R22.5 tires. Additionally, the airbag rear axle allows electronic height adjustment, lowering the chassis for greater cargo bed height and volume, which enhances loading efficiency and logistical capacity.
