The Foton AUMAN EST, a heavy-duty tractor developed for the high-end logistics market, was jointly created by Foton, BFDA, and Cummins following four years of development in Europe and over 10 million kilometers of road testing. By integrating world-leading supplier resources, and in collaboration with U.S. Cummins and Germany’s Daimler, Foton Motor Group has introduced smart trucks and intelligent logistics solutions to build a green, efficient, safe, and intelligent transport system in China. These advancements achieve up to a 30% reduction in fuel consumption, a 30% decrease in carbon emissions, and a 70% increase in freight transport efficiency. The AUMAN EST Super Truck is the first generation of highly efficient, internet-enabled heavy-duty trucks, jointly developed by Foton Daimler, combining advanced technologies from the U.S., Germany, and China with a world-class supply chain system.

The system enables online fault monitoring, diagnosis, and analysis, enhancing overall vehicle stability and safety. Intelligent fuel-efficient drive
Equipped with the EBP multi-state intelligent driving control fuel-saving switch and intelligent torque-controlled gear shifting, the standard ZF AMT transmission enables over 80% of drivers to operate more efficiently, reducing fuel consumption by 4–5% per 100 km. The vehicle also adopts optimized Mercedes-Benz technology and features a high-displacement engine with strong low-speed torque, improving transmission efficiency by 2% while delivering powerful performance and a broad fuel-efficient range.
Modularized, platform-based and lightweight design of complete vehicle
The application of high-powered engine compression braking technology combined with a hydrodynamic retarder eliminates the need for a water tank. The use of ZF ECAS full-bellows air suspension, along with lightweight components such as an aluminum alloy transmission and fuel tank, further reduces overall vehicle weight.
Drop resistance design
Newly-styled body, CFD aerodynamics optimization, low drag and low rolling resistance design of complete vehicle, added drag-drop elements, such as shroud, side
deflector and side skirt, optimized rear-view mirror and sun visor decrease the drag to 0.58, reaching a global leading level and realizing the complete fuel consumption
of 100km dropped approx 12%.
